Weld Neck Flange
A weld neck flange (WN flange) moves stress from the bolt circle into the pipe wall. The long tapered hub lowers stress concentration at the weld toe, while the bore matches the pipe ID so flow remains smooth. The result is the same fatigue life as the pipe itself—reason enough for every high-pressure or high-cyclic line to start with this forging.
